SPEAK NOT BEAT
The Speak Not Beat Campaign (SNBC) is our national initiative to end domestic violence and to educate communities on domestic violence. The goal of the SNBC is to raise awareness about domestic violence and express the importance of communication verses altercation or physical assault.
Thanks to TJMAXX we are able to provided over 150 Hot Packs to women in transition. Hot Packs are purple back packs full of daily essentials including, silk pillow case, deodorant, soap, toothbrush, tooth paste, mouth wash, lotion, hair comb and brush, shampoo, and other feminine care supplies. Along with these bags, women are provided with sheets and pillows.
Transition 1.2.3 our goal is to reach out not just in the city, but around the world until our voice is heard and change has taken place.
Building Economic Development in Detroit (BED/DET) is another way we give back in the lives of disenfranchised and those in need of affordable housing. Transition 1.2.3 has been blessed to offer emergency housing, transitional housing, and permanent home ownership opportunities.
We have joined Sephora Partridge Creek Mall, Michigan for monthly Classes for Confidence. Through these classes that Sephora provides, women in transition have the ability to learn about beautification from the inside out and outside in.
The Transition 1.2.3 Faye Burton Transitional Program provides a safe drug free environment for homeless and domestically abused women and their children. It will allow them to effectively navigate through our 3 stage transitioning program to move them to a plateau of success spiritually, physically, emotionally and financially. Our vision is for a facility that will provide sheltering for 100 women or 50 families.
